Integration

Integration in integrative mind-body work refers to the therapeutic process of connecting, harmonizing, and unifying the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of human experience to promote holistic healing and well-being.

Embodiment

​In integrative mind-body work refers to the lived experience of being fully present in and aware of one's physical body as an integral source of wisdom, information, and healing capacity, rather than viewing the body merely as a vessel for the mind or an object to be analyzed.

Grounding

​In integrative mind-body work refers to therapeutic practices and states of being that establish a sense of safety, stability, and present-moment connection with one's body and immediate environment, creating a foundation for deeper healing and integration work.

Ritual

​In integrative mind-body work refers to intentional, structured practices that engage both body and mind to create sacred space, facilitate transitions, honor experiences, and support therapeutic transformation through meaningful, often symbolic actions.

Self-Regulation

​The capacity to consciously manage and modulate one's internal states, including emotions, nervous system activation, thoughts, and physical sensations, through awareness and intentional practices that engage both mental and somatic resources.​

Container

The intentional creation of a safe, structured space, physically, emotionally, and energetically, that holds therapeutic processes, allowing individuals to explore, express, and integrate their experiences with trust and security.

Holding

The therapeutic practice of providing a supportive, empathetic, and attuned presence that creates an emotionally safe environment, allowing clients to explore and process their experiences with trust and understanding.​

Attunement

The practitioner's ability to deeply connect with and understand a client's emotional and physical states through empathetic presence, sensitivity, and responsiveness, facilitating a harmonious therapeutic relationship.​

Presence​​​​​

The practitioner’s ability to be fully engaged and attentive in the moment with the client, providing a calm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space that supports healing and transformation.
